Week of fourteenth to eighteenth of December

This week, we went over what the world would be without friction. Some of the classmates read their stories and for the most part made complete sense. We also reviewed what the motion diagrams would look like based oon the story or force diagram. We learned that there is only an acceleration of an object if the force is unbalanced. If the object is not moving, the acceleration of an object would be zero. Our class also discussed when one certain object exerts a force on another certain object the pulling forces are equal but in opposite directions.
This is only when two people are pulling one object. In our class, the example was Mr Finley and Mark pulling on a cart at an equal force. They both put an equal for of (ex. 20n) on the cart. We attempted expiramnets including when Maggie and Elaine pushed forces against each other on the carts we had used in class. The smaller mass went further back than the bigger mass. We learned that mass matters when it comes to forces and what object exerts more force on antohter object.
